The Qur’an is often considered a source of healing — not just spiritually, but also emotionally and even physically. In Islam, this concept is referred to as "Shifa" (شفاء), meaning healing. This belief is grounded in various verses of the Qur’an and traditions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Surah Al-Isra (17:82): "And We send down from the Qur’an that which is healing and mercy for the believers..." This verse reflects how the Qur’an brings comfort, peace, and guidance, particularly for those in distress. Surah Yunus (10:57): "O mankind, there has come to you a counsel from your Lord and a healing for what is in the breasts..." This points to the emotional and psychological comfort the Qur’an provides — for anxiety, grief, sadness, etc.
